Activated Charcoal for Chronic Pancreatitis?

Activated Charcoal for Chronic Pancreatitis? - 12/08/17 06:19 AM

Years back I remember someone on the forums mentioning they used Activated Charcoal while their dog was in a Pancreatic flare. I was wondering if anyone else has used this with success, and if so, when was it given & what brand would you recommend?

That very well could have been me and Indy. I just used a name brand and gave it before bedtime, away from everything else so the other thing didn't get "absorbed".

I haven't looked into it, but i'm wondering how baking soda affects a pancreatic attack.

I think it was you who recommended it! Thank you! I'm still looking into it as an option for Mahi. We might be taking it all the way back to switching up his actual diet, though.

You might try about 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda mixed with a bit of water and see if that helps him feel better.
