Hi guys
Joanne here - I used to be on the GSD board until it changed hands. So what's been happening in my household ....
I now have four GSD's with "straight" hindlimbs, Spirit, Eli, Darwin and Aoibhe, and now 5 Labs/mixes. Duncan and Sam I am are "normal", Tesla has bilateral forelimb deformities, Carl is paralyzed, and Cody was shot in the spine.
On the disabled GSD front I am still hearing of affected litters cropping up, with one very local to me :-( I have got two vets at NC State vet school who want to figure out what is going on and are collecting samples to store for future genetic analysis.
Great to see some familiar names!
