So! I was not with Toby and the boys this morning - (I was supposed to have a colonoscopy but threw up most of the prep so they rescheduled me, but I was still a bit poopy so just Toby took them out) - but Toby took everyone to the park/field across the street. There were two little kids playing with sticks, so Agis goes over - sticks! maybe they'll throw them! - they have a dog that Agis sniffs nicely (nice move away from resource guarding sticks which he was doing for awhile).

When he's done sniffing the other dog, he trots over to the (adult) owner, lifts his leg, and pees on her!

HE PEED ON THE LADY!

At least she had a dog I guess, maybe a bit understanding? Maybe?

Apparently she said 'OMG!!!!!' and Toby said 'OMG!!!!! He's never done that before!' and then everyone moved off.

I have no idea what was going through his mind.

Toby comes back with the dogs, I say, 'How were they' and he says, 'Well...'

I laughed in horror.

I still have no idea why he would do that! I'm thinking maybe he was a bit excited but how mortifying.

Other Jenn's (aka my bestie) dog Lupi once did that she said. Maybe that's why he and Agis get along so well...

When I lived down in Texas I went to a herding training event with my boss one time. She had Aussies (at the time I had one of her dogs, too). Her boy went and herded sheep around the ring - did a wonderful job - then came back and peed on her. I don't think she ever figured out why and I think it was the only time he had ever done that.

Who knows what goes through the mind of a male dog when they do things like that.

It does seem to be more common than I realized...but geez. He is my 4th male dog and this has never happened before! Clearly girls are superior heh heh heh

When Zisso was about 2, I was selling a dog crate to a guy. When he came to my house (It was safe to let strangers come to your home back then) he had several dogs in the back of his pickup in the driveway. So he clearly had doggie smells on him. He comes in, checks out the crate, pays for it...Z walks up to him and hikes his leg on the guy. I was so utterly embarrassed. Got him some paper towels to dry it off and apologized. Thankfully the guy was nice about it.

I'll never forget when I was walking Sean during the summer. It was hot and he had his favorite spots, bushes, trees, etc. to pee on. There was a crew of construction guys working on one of the street corners. They had put their lunchboxes under a bush to keep them cool but it just so happened to be one of the bushes Sean liked to pee on. You can guess the rest of the story. I would have been embarrassed except that the guy was a real jerk to Sean before he even peed on his lunchbox. Oh well, what goes around comes around!

Bev, oh man...it really is one of those things that NEVER occurred to me before! Glad the guy was nice.

I love how we have our own pee stories. When Kody was just a pup I handed him over to one of the neighboor gardener guys and Kody just let loose. He soaked the front of that poor guys shirt. I was so embarrassed. I don't think I even said anything but just took back the pup. Poor guy had to work all day in the sun with a shirt soaked in pee.

But I've never had anyone lift a leg on someone, lol, that's too funny.

I was thinking of this because I took the boys to meet Toby at the subway today. Neb and Agis got tangled around/behind me as we were waiting. At 14, Neb's not much for lifting his legs anymore, so I didn't realize he was peeing as I pulled him and Agis around to untangle them and me. And pulled Neb's urine stream over both my feet.

...I THINK it was better I was wearing sandals?
