OK this isn't the typical Barker Sisters stuff. I don't know quite how to describe it. Persistently in my face. Both dogs come up stairs and crowd my computer chair (with me in it) - lying down. They want something. I turn off the whiny toilet. Nope. Still restless crazy.

Go outside to work. They walk over the area I'm working, BTY2 jumps over and through the newly moved dirt (I'm excavating some raised beds to install varmint guard stuff). BTE2 for the most part concentrates on hoping I'll throw some grass roots her way. (I do. she loves it.) but she too "forgets".

Each is now in their "quiet" room. There's some restlessness there, too. It reminds me of BTE1's behavior when we had starlings hatch in the wall. .. .

Somethings going on. I'd like to know what. I don't think it's the stay at home stuff that's worrying them because we have a pretty big "at home."

If there's an invader, it needs to leave. .. I don't know what the heck it is.

Issue solved. Typical and usual suspect - storm door not secured...... (aka handler error.)

Smart dogs! I'm glad you don't have starlings in the wall!

Sounds like something that happens here on occasion, except mine bark non stop until I fix the problem.

Well, there was the time... I don't know if you remember my tribulations with a neighbor's son (and the neighbor, too.) But, one night I awoke with a dog on my chest. She's a small GSD so it was just a 70lb dog on my chest. My windows were closed. My bedroom is upstairs. The son was screaming at 3 am. The SO got a call on that one. When he would start cursing at me as I walked my fence (inside my property), that same dog would be there with her "just come over here and say that..." look. She didn't bark. She was, however, RIGHT THERE. Yes. Good dog. But really, the storm door???

And I've got stories about mice, too.

That reminds me of late one night when we had gone to bed. The woodstove was set with the damper closed and it back puffed a bit. There was no flame and the gas were building up in the stove, then a little spark would ignite the gases and it would kind of "whoosh". Ciara did not like the way it was working and came in and pretty much sat on DH's head and was shivering like crazy. Since then, one of us makes sure before bedtime that the stove is operating correctly so she doesn't have to wake us up in the middle of the night.

Oh Johanna, that's like the monsters under the bed I knew were there as a kid... Only Ciara had more than her imagination to tell you about.
