At risk of getting political, I went with a couple of friends today to a rally/march in support of some anti-pipeline stuff here in Canada. It was a family march, so, of course, I brought Agis!

Took the subway - which he has been on once before - and he did great with that. Was very well-behaved, even when other dogs on the march barked at him. I overheard one person say, when a little dog kept barking at him, 'That (little) dog is so rude. Look how nice that other (Agis) dog is!'. Proud mama moment.

He did fairly well with the thousands of people chanting - not great at loose-leashing walking (he did a bit, but he'd get distracted), but he had a bit of sensory overload, lots to sniff. When the march would stop at intersections we'd practice our sit stays, and he really did quite well. We rode home with some friends on the subway and practiced obedience under strong distraction and I'm pretty darn happy with how he did there too (though the food under the seat was apparently exciting).

We went with two friends, one of whom is his walker, who just had carpal tunnel surgery, and was he EVER interested in that hand! It was really interesting to see.

Anyways, great socialization/training opportunity, I was really proud of him.

What great behavior! Thousands of people-I know humans who would be uncomfortable with that.

Agis sounds like a stable pup with marvelous leadership.

Yes, he did pull, but with treats would loose-leash walk for bits.

He's a good boy. Though, he barked a carriage today (after seeing how many yesterday? But this one was with a lady standing suspiciously at the sidewalk by our building sheesh) so he's definitely got his moments.

Thanks smile

Great experience for the young lad. So glad he handled everything so well.
