Good day.
Does anyone brush their dog's hair in the opposite way as it grows. I find Divo enjoys it a lot. The benefit is that you get a lot more loose hair out of his coat this way than if you brush in favor of hair growth. Is this recommended or not? I ask this because when I sleep with my head "bending" my hair in the opposite direction it can hurt a little. I know most of the things that apply to humans do not apply to dogs.
Regards.

I always brush against the lay of fur when brushing Yukon. It does help to take out a lot more of the under coat, especially on his rear where the fur is the thickest.

I will also line brush. Pardon the fur with my hand and then brush the fur down in the way it grows.

If Divo enjoys it, continue. Very often dogs will shake after and that will cause the fur to fall back into place.

I comb back and forth lightly then finish by following the way her fur lies.

She doesn't mind which direction I comb/brush in.
