Galliprant is a new NSAID on the market 3/2016 that is non-COX inhibiting, so it's in a different class than the traditional - NSAIDs.

This is a human cell line p-glycoprotein substrate, which are the types of drugs that mdr1 dogs have difficulty with.

At this point, until tested by the canine mdr1 folks and given the okay, I would treat it as a canine mdr1 drug. Dogs considering it's use should be tested for the mdr1 mutation.
