I don't have Lisa's background, so hopefully she weighs in on this.

Buddy especially does well with goat milk and I now use Primal because it has turmeric in it. You may, or may not want that.

But,it's expensive to use every day. I now rotate it with plain kefir, which I buy at the grocery store.

I pay $9.00 for the primal and only about $2.50 for kefir.

I want to make my own kefir, but haven't done that yet.

Also, maybe I missed it but can you add pumpkin to the diet? It could really help the stool.

Oops, edited: I see you did mention pumpkin already.

I hope Bruiser is having a good day.

When we're hit with these unusual things, we just have to do our best. I was in that "playing it by ear" mode with max for quite awhile, and it's stressful. I live in that mode with Jazz shocked

You are doing a great job keeping him comfortable - he's a lucky boy.

I hate grocery shopping so haven't been yet ... my cupboards are bare so will be forced to go today or tomorrow. Pumpkin is on my list and I'll try to find the kefir.

Thanks Rosa. I hope and pray I'm keeping Bruiser comfortable. He's not showing any of the signs I look for when a dog isn't feeling well. But then again I know dogs are masters at hiding discomfort.

Yeah, thanks for checking. One of the tumors has gotten larger, the anal glad is still functional, the others have stayed the same.

A change in meds from Meloxicam to pred. Had to stop the meloxicam and start him on Gabapentin for one week, then stop the Gabapentin and start the pred.

Had full body x-rays and no clue as to what's causing the sudden difficulty standing up.

And last night he woke up, hard panting, and his eyes had that gazey look. And he's baci t0 being bright eyed.

Thanks Rosa!!! I'm appreciating all the time I'm able to spend with him!!! So far he seems to be feeling pretty good, doesn't appear to be in pain (he's taking 150mg of Tramadol 2x a day), is alert, chipper, eating with gusto. He gets an infusion for the high calcium in his blood every 3 or 4 weeks ... in fact he needs to go back for his blood test either this week or next week (forget which).

Take care!!!
