my problem has been when I come to the site. I have to log in.... even though I say keep me logged in... that is not so much of an issue.. the issue is when I go to the active topics or select from a new topic ... the next screen says I am logged out and have to log in. i do... but it doesn't "take"... it says logged in until i go to a thread then it says i am logged out... over and over... sometimes it takes days to get back to where i can post.... Same thing here. I have logged in 4 times over the last few minutes. Give up.

It is frustratign enough that I may bow again until it is fixed.
I have not been on much anyway and fighting to get on and stay on is not worth my effort.

S Fritz, my problem is exactly the same as yours. It is fine now but so frustrating when it happens.
I did all the 'fixes' for naught. Just seems to suddenly be OK again.
I thought it was my kindle, but everything else was fine.

OK first of all when you are having this problem you need to go to the tab at the top called "My Stuff" at the bottom of the list there is a link called "Cookies" click on that and use the button to clear the cookies.

I keep getting logged out, at least once a week. Once I logged on I'm good to go. More of just an inconvenience. Me too. I seem to have solved it on the IPAD but the laptop is just as you said. Will have to try the cookie clear technique.

In order to trouble shoot the problems the Tech guy needs more information.
Operating System... ie Mac - Windows 8 or 7 or what.
Browser and what version.
I use FireFox and have no problems.
Tech Guy tested 3 browsers with and without the remember me and can't make the problem replicate.

finely able to post again... I would log on - erase cookies on this site and get logged out again unable to post... however... what the problem actually was was not this site's cookies... but my own computers millions of cookies.... my whole computer is running better now.....

Related to what SF said about millions of cookies on her computer.
I wonder does everyone have their browser set to erase all cookies when you close your browser?
All you need to do is go to Control Panel > Internet Options and under Browsing history there should be a check box that says "Delete Browsing History on exit."
I have that checked and never experience any log out/in problems.

I use Firefox on a MacBook Pro and am logged in 24/7 unless the system goes down or I reboot or something. I log in again at that point and all is good. I have now probably jinxed myself
