Jean, thank you so much for posting these sites.
I was devastated by the loss of Dakota and went into a deep depression. Met with a "pet death support" group, but it was the wrong thing for me. Because I am a private person, I didn't do well with talking to strangers in that kind of atmosphere. I was uncomfortable talking to family and friends about my grief. Dakota was my life and my constant companion for nearly 14 years. It took me a good year to work through my grief. I felt I didn't have someone I could talk with who really understood what I was going through.
The grieving process is different for each person, no matter what kind of a network of support they may have in family and friends. It has been shown time and time again, that talking about your grief helps you work though it. To have a group of folks to talk to who can empathize and share enables the person grieving to share their own feelings. It can help folks continue working through that grieving process when they've gotten "stuck".
Thank you....thank you very much for posting this information for all to use if they need it.

Thanks, middle, that was a good article. I think all of us can relate. You're right not anything we don't know but definitely interesting.
