DianaB— Hi, not sure if you’re still interested in dehydrator recipes or how to, but I found this site (haven’t looked at it yet) but thought I’d share. Let me know if you think it’s helpful at all.

Anybody have a favorite dehydrator, or tips on buying one? I'm thinking that I might have to make some of my own treats here for jazz.

We have this one from Cabela's. We used to have one like this . Both work well, but we found that the round one started to give us problems with the fan and DH would have to take it apart and clean it to keep the fan running. The Cabela's model is great and handles larger batches. The downside is that you need to rotate the racks during the drying process so that everything finishes at once.
The drying process seems a bit more even in the round one because the fan is on the bottom, so you don't rotate the racks as much.

Last thought - if you don't think you'll do a lot of dehydrating, the smaller, round one is probably enough, and doesn't take as much storage room. If you plan on doing a lot, I think the Cabela's one is a better choice.
