How wonderful! So glad that she is doing so well! I agree she needs to grow a bit of fur on her bum so she doesn't tuck her tail like that! LOL! Well either that or she needs some stylish skirts and shorts to sit on. smile

Well...we're all sick together here. My son and I have a fever, cough and sore throat. Today Cheyenne was coughing alot...laying around...and won't eat. Alert though. Keeping a close eye on this and hoping it's just a "doggie cold" ...it of course has me worried......weather has been brutal.

My son is better...I'm still sick..but I am REALLY worried about Cheyenne. Something is just not right. She has been eating for me...but breathing is very bad...and today...she just won't settle....I don't really know how else to explain it..she just stands there...looking very sick...even if I call her up on the couch...she stands..sits...can't settle...gets down and stands in the middle of the room...

Well your son must have great immunity since your whole household has had its share of infections this winter-glad he feels better.

I'm sorry that you're still sick. Caring about Cheyenne as we all do, I hate to read that you say that something isn't right, because you know her inside and out.
I just hope that everybody gets better.

I really hope that everybody gets better.

take care, please
Mary Jane

Mary Ann, if you are concerned about Cheyenne then I am also. Does she have a fever? What Antibiotics was she on after surgery?

My wee little brain still keep coming back to her breathing better because of the Oxygen that she might have received during surgery. Like I posted earlier in this thread, my friend use to give her dog oxygen from the tanks she had for her dad, she would on bad days do two treatments and better days one and on good days none.

Do you have a stethoscope at home? Have you given her any albuterol? The storm system was making my ears hurt last night as it came in. Wonder if it's affecting her breathing? It seems her breathing problems are always worse when a system comes in.

Mary Ann, any chance you can get her in for a Vet check today? I am concerned about a few things. Did the tack her stomach when they did the spay surgery? I am concerned about her stomach flipping (torsion) or a small bleed in there. After surgery abscess is another possibility.

Maybe could you take her in to the vet? Might just be something that they could help resolve quicker than you expect. Maybe the vet can listen and see what he thinks of her breathing, check her temp too? I understand how worried you must feel. Please know that I am sending good thoughts Chey's way right now-- wishing for you and your vet to be able to get an easy, successful handle on this soon! We love Cheyenne!
