Can we do the list of good resources such as books, videos, dvds, web links just for Shutzhund. Being a newbie in this area I’m looking for all sources to learn about this training. It would also be helpful for me to know if the resource is for beginners, intermediate or advanced.
I’ll add the one book I do have.
‘Schutzhund: Theory and Training Methods’ by Susan Barwig & Stewart Hilliard I’d say this is an essential beginners book on Schutzhund.

‘Schutzhund: Theory and Training Methods’ by Susan Barwig & Stewart Hilliard I’d say this is an essential beginners book on Schutzhund. I just picked this one up myself! We go for a evaluation at the club in a months time so I am trying to read up as much as I can. Videos are helpful too. Have you read through this one yet?

Have you read through this one yet? Yes, I've actually had this book for years and read it a few years ago.

Here's a website I seen recommended somewhere before that I've found helpful. I love some of the puppy tips and videos. Schutzhund Training.com

Tracking: From the Beginning by Gary Patterson Der Schutzhund by Helmut Raiser (translated by Armin Winkler) There is an obedience book by Sheila Booth that is very good, but I am drawing a blank as far as the title. Ivan Balabanov's DVD's are pretty good. Rule Book. You should know it backwards and forwards. Go watch trials, especially regional and national events. If you can don't just watch the obedience and protection, but get out and watch the tracking. I say this because many people have NO idea what an excellent track should look like.

There is an obedience book by Sheila Booth that is very good, but I am drawing a blank as far as the title. Are you maybe thinking of SchH Obedience: Training in Drive or Purely Positive: Companion to Competition (Booth)? Rule Book. You should know it backwards and forwards. I highly second the rule book too!

The training in drive book. Thank you. I have the book, but it is packed away in a box since I haven't read it in years.

I think Sheila Booth's "Training in Drive" book is informative, but writing style was very difficult for me to get through.
I am working on Gary Patterson's "Training the Behavior", and I really like it. I wouldn't necessarily follow all his training techniques, but it is a great resource to learn about SchH.
