He must feel so much better, to be able to play smile

Do they have you doing range of motion exercises to make sure that he starts using the knee properly?

Lisa, still doing ROM and icing the knee down. You can just tell he's feeling so much better.

Laos did well.. though it's hard to keep him calm while trying to get him in the pool... he loves it. Once I get him in the pool I can control him and his movements. He's a little sore so we may have over done it (or I have to figure out how to "calmly" get him into the pool).. gave him a dose of tramadol and he'll have a "rest" day tomorrow.

Nice! He looks great - seems to be using his leg pretty well. I love how he swims with his ball too! smile

That's everyone.. he's fine this morning... I'll just keep the leash walks short today and give him a chance to "rest". Hopefully get him back in the pool on Sunday.

Laos had his 2nd swim therapy session yesterday and he did good. He swam for the entire 15 minutes with a couple of breaks so he could catch his breath. I've got a routine down to keep him pretty under control while NOT in the pool. I make sure he swims slow and with a little bit of resistence (me hold him back with a long line). He was a little sore afterwards, but I walked him when we got home (to work out the muscles) and he was fine after that. I'm encouraged as I see his strength building back up in the leg. He's finished up one antibiotic (cephelexin) and has about 10 more days of the baytril. Keeping that cautious optimism going.
