Never did get that shower...I was sick in my pj's all weekend...so I looked like a loon at the vet's office...and from no sleep and just being frazzled...I just cried the whole time...so I acted like a loon too...a scarey looking one.

I'm sorry Mary Ann...it just breaks my heart with everything she's been through and I know you are just frazzled beyond belief. Hugs to you both...

I remember as a kid having "the croup" as my mom called it. I remember it being hard to breath, especially when you had all that mucous in your chest. She would pat us on the back trying to loosen it up. Until you get it out of the body, it's going to cause problems. I wish you weren't feeling so crappy, because it makes the whole thing worse to deal with emotionally. She's in good hands and she's tough. Is she still eating? If she is, then that's great. Just need to get through a few days and get that stuff out of her chest...

The respiratory therapists did that with DD too. They cupped their hand and lightly 'thumped' on her back where her lungs are.

I was reading up on the link you provided. Just a heads up that the page provides the following quote at the very end: "These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose. treat, cure or prevent any disease."

Not sure how much value you personally hold in medications being FDA approved or not? I'm thinking your consideration in purchasing this for Cheyenne would be to prevent further issues down the road. However, for the product to clearly state that it doesn't "prevent" a disease? Generally speaking, if we aren't treating our pets ailments, then we are usually trying to prevent something from happening. So under what pretense am I giving this to my pet?

Just my 2cents. You can't do wrong by Cheyenne no matter what you decide

All the supplements either I take or I give to my dogs say this.

I give probiotics 3 hours after antibiotics. So, midday should be ok.

Seriously...how embarrassing! Picture being in your pj's all weekend...no shower...and then HAVING to rush to the Dr's office...

I had the panting under control this afternoon (still has the heavy chest breathing)...so told the Dr. I was comfortable trying to stay home. He said if I'm comfortable..he's comfortable. He said to page him if I need him...and of course...the ER is always open.

We still have intermittent panting...but not continuous. I have to give another bunch of meds tonight...and since I saw a tad of improvement with the first round...I'm hoping to see even more this round. Praying so very hard for some peace and relief for her tonight....and a good nights sleep.
