Mary Ann, I am lost for words. I know your heart is breaking right now. I have never known anyone in my entire life that fought for survival of a dog as hard as you did with Cheyenne. You sent me an email on March 3, 2010, and said look at my new foster and gave me the link to the forum and said I should join. I did and have been following Chey's journey ever since. You and your family gave her more love and hope than anyone could have. I know you have cried many tears for her in the last 3yrs. Cheyenne knew how much you loved her and she knew you didn't want to let her go. But she knew when it was time to let you know it was ok, she was ready. Now she is no longer in pain and running free with all the others than have gone to rainbow bridge. When you see her again, she will be able to run to you and her eyes will be bright again. I will be praying for you and your family that the pain will ease with each passing day. Love you, Linda & Cain

My mother reminded me of the rainbow bridge...so...yes...I know now that that rainbow was truly a sign!

Cheyenne's rainbow of gratitude and wellbeing touches my heart as a true sign. Mary Ann, you transformed Cheyenne's life. Her life was itself a gift to all of those who knew, and knew of, her. I'm wishing you strength and comfort. hugging hugging hugging

Still getting used to............not having her around. She has been such a huge part of my life....we miss her dearly. Cainsmomma sent us a framed picture of her....we have it on our mantle...and I swear it glows..it just catches your eye from anywhere in the room..I almost feel she's still here...

Val...can we somehow keep this thread from being purged? I means alot to me...our whole story is here...

Mary Ann, I don't need to purge the forum much right now, but I will put my thinking cap on to come up with a way to save this in the future.

Your dedication to Cheyenne is something we should keep. You took a dog that was knocking on death door step and gave her the ability to have a wonderful life where she was loved and cherished.

Of course Cheyenne is still there with you. She is watching over you and your family.

I am stunned - at myself.

I read this thread at the beginning when Cheyenne came home. I posted one time and never checked back. Why did I look yesterday? I do not know. I do not know why I was not following this either. I was in Iraq when Chey came home and for most of the time after. But that is no excuse, I was able to read and post most of the time I was there.

I am so sorry I was not following this incredible journey. Whan I realized this I sat up last night and read every single page. This is a journey of love and compassion from start to finish and I feel I have lost out by not following with it.

When you come in and read this from start to finish it is like reading a novel of love.

Val if there is nay way to archive this I hope it can be done. It should be required reading for anyome that wants to share the odyssey of life with our fur kids.

Myamom, consider taking this thread and perhaps saving it as a word document. Maybe publish this as what it is, a journey of love and faith.

I am so sorry Chey is gone and so sorry I was not here to support your journey. Those that were touched by her are all better for knowing her. hugging

I really have no answer as to why Chey's thread was not flagging for me or why it did last night. No answer.

Kathy...thank you so much for taking the time to read Cheyenne's story...and for your beautiful words! I always hoped her story would inspire others to take a second look at that seemingly hopeless case and know that...yes...there is hope...yes...I CAN handle that...and give that old dog a second chance at a beautiful life. With love, friends, encouragement...all things are possible!!

Thank you again Kathy!!
