Oh no... I am in utter shock and do not have the words to express how sorry I am to hear this.
I can't imagine how heavy your broken heart must feel. Many hugs for you and I hope you find some comfort in all the wonderful memories.

Although most of us did not know Chimo, he was another part of our giant "pack" as are all the other dogs on the board. We get to know and love them through the stories and pictures. I have in tears in my eyes for you. I will keep you and the paq in my prayers.

Rest in peace big guy...

I was lucky enough to meet him. I even took some invisible pictures of him (they would have been so nice - but I didn't have my CF card in!).

He was so sweet. He was making googly eyes at Bella and she'd lift her lip at him, because she had her posse with her (Anna, Ava and Mariele) and didn't want him getting all fresh with her. It was really adorable (him, not Bella and her attitude). He eventually was "allowed" to walk next to her and he had a gooby look on his face.

He's one of those dogs you just want to steal when you meet them. He was good with all my little weirdos, did not even phase him. He was just enjoying the day.

So sorry Ruq.
Ashley, that is beautiful.

I did not know Chimo but it is clear what he meant to Ruq and her brave Pac, so another keyboard with tears tonight.

May I thank you all for inspiration of what dogs can be.

May the Father of Peace send Peace to all who mourn and comfort all the bereaved among you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I too came home from work to check in on Chimo and was not expecting this.

Knowing the impact he has had on the boards from your stories, can't imagine the hole this has left.

rip Chimo. You will be missed.

Ruq, you posted this on Valentine's Day. I thought it was a wonderful tribute then, and it remains a wonderful tribute:

Chimo, my guy with the old soul eyes and heart of gold. He has wisdom and patience of a Saint despite his extremely rough start in life. He has had a far reaching effect on people, including some who never met him. He has imprinted the younger dogs with his fair leadership, quiet strength, empathetic heart and warm sense of humor. He chooses to lead by quiet example instead of sound and fury. If more people and dogs were like him, the world would be a better place.
