Hoping things are going well.

I know this is a crazy thought but wonder if that Penaten creme would help?

Ummmm...no thanks. paranoid

Maybe it would help to tell us what it is about the appointment that is so upsetting? Or maybe it would just make it worse! If the former, we could maybe help. At the very least we can try to make you laugh or smile.

I don't want to hear....that there is nothing that can be done...that she has x amount of time...just hug her and love her.

I don't want to hear that we'll try but it's a huge risk...and then wrestle with that decision. What if I kill her. What if she thinks I abandoned her at the last min.

I'm a what if person....and those of you that know me...know that I beat myself up and second guess every decision I have ever had to make for my animals. Should I have done this...was that the right decision....

Dear Mary Ann,

Cheyenne is alive today because of you. Heaven knows she is happy today because of you. Those are simple facts.

I am just guessing here, but I don't think that it's likely that the specialist (what specialty, I guess I missed it) has some magic bullet to give her n healthy months.

Cheyenne is yours, heart and soul-but if she were mine and he said he couldn't do anything-go home and love her, I would be calm that at least I was doing all I possibly could.

On Thursday night, I will open a bottle of Sparkling White to toast Cheyenne's health.

MJ

Thank you MJ!

We are seeing a general surgeon. He is highly recommended and respected in this area.

He operated on Mya for a tumor...and was so knowlegeable. We felt total confidence in him. He really knew his stuff...discussing in detail....how they needed to take wide margins...what they would be looking for...what we would need to do if this or that. He was very positive in the event that the margins were "dirty" and told us where we would go from there. I have to say...I had the same feeling with him...as I did when the ENT at Children's hospital walked in the room for my son...total confidence.

Should we be going to a different type of doctor? My vet does recommend Cornell when needed..but in this case...he specifically recommended this Dr. I guess...I just go for the consult...listen...and take it from there...?

That sounds pretty clear to me. If you have confidence and your vet concurs, you can feel good about this visit Friday. Then take it from there with the same full heart and wise head that care for so many others.

Took the dogs and kids up the park to run around...as you can see...Cheyenne feels great...I actually have to intervene when I think she's overdoing it...lol.

The funniest thing was when the kids went up on this huge mountain. Ava went with them...but I leashed Cheyenne and waited with her down the bottom because I was thinking she needed to take a break..and that that climb would be too much for her. She kept turning around giving me the evil eye..pulling towards them....finally started chewing at her leash...lol. Finally had to give in and take her up slowly.
