I was really hoping to stay out of the health section for a very long time, but here I am. I am not looking for any advice or help at the moment, but it would be nice if you can all just send some positive thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc, for Jarie...she could really use them right about now.

For those of you that don't know, Jarie has von Willebrands Disease, IBD, many allergies, (environmental, food, and some antibotics) and has suffered from a compromised immune system her entire life. She is not yet 5 years old.

For the past 2 years, she has been doing quite well, and we were very pleased.

However, a couple months ago, all of my dogs got very sick from some sort of virus. They all recovered, including Jarie, but she had lost 10 lbs just within 3 days from that virus. Since then, she has been at the vets 10 times, 3 of those times, overnite stays, iv's, meds, bloodwork and ultrasounds done. We have always struggled with her eating. She needs to eat at exactly the same time everyday, otherwise she builds up too much acid in her stomach, then she refuses to eat. If she doesn't eat, I can't give her meds or supplements because she will vomit them up. But her meds and supplements are vital for her to have a half way quality of life. If she starts vomiting too much she ends up bleeding internally and with vWD, we can't have that. It is a vicious cycle we try to prevent with her.

Jarie has been going on and off her food for the past 2 months. Sometimes she will go 3 days without eating anything. It is a struggle. She has started to bleed a couple of times the past month. She is continuing to lose weight now, getting ear infections in both ears, sores near her anal area. She is seen by a dermatologist, and internal medicine vet, her regular vet, and now we are adding an ophthalmologist to that list. She is losing her vision:(

I am constantly checking her eyes and gums for signs of bleeding. It has gotten to the point that I don't sleep but 3 hours of sleep everynight, as I don't know if she is going to be ok during the night. The one blessing in all of this is Jarie, despite all of her health problems, she is always happy. She is such a happy loving girl.

Please, if any of you have any spare time to offer her good vibes and prayers.. Please do.

I'm so sorry to hear that Jarie isn't doing well. Cleo also has IBD and the same issue with not eating so if you want to compare supplements, etc., I'd be happy to.

Sending many positive and healing thoughts to Jarie and sleep to you--this is exactly what I went through with Cleo all of last year, 3 hours sleep and all.

Some thoughts on meds - if she can get them transdermally or in shots? And I am not sure how often Cerenia can be used either?

One thing I was looking at trying with Nina was Immunoregulin. http://www.google.com/search?q=immunoregulin&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a for the google list. It's mostly for staph but I also thought it would help with her low IgA levels.

I cannot believe this poor girl is not yet 5. Big hugs to you all.
