I'm also thinking of you and Riley and praying for good news this morning.

I am in the middle of a project at work that only I can complete and get filed by Friday. I was asked to come in early this morning to continue working on it to meet the Friday deadline. So by the time I had an opportunity to call the Speciality Clinic it was already 10:30. And they wanted him brought right in. I told them it would be about an hour before I could leave to bring him - that I worked for people who truly do not understand my bond and have certainly never experienced a bond with any kind of animal. After talking with the clinic, all I could think of was getting home and praying he would be at the door for me. Another reinforcement that I need to go ahead and make the decision to let him go. I want to be there with him. I am so afraid something will happen when I am not there. I will pick him up around 4:30 this afternoon. Dr. Goldman is off today but the vet on call today is up to speed on his case and will talk further with me. Will also pick up his new medication this afternoon. Hope it kicks in quickly!

What a stressful time for you. When our bosses don't understand it is so much harder that it should be.

I hope the new medicine works for Riley. Only you can decide what to do, since you know and love Riley most.
