A therapy dog belong to a friend of mine is one of the dogs reported to the FDA. Luckily Jack is recovering, but I doubt he would have survived had his partner not read my facebook posts when this first came out last month.
She and her vet had been trying to trace the cause of Jack's illness. He is doing much better, but still has a persistent rash under his ears.

To Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown who has been taking the FDA to task over this and other problems with treats from China. It is about time.

To the coupons in Sunday's paper which included a $3.00 coupon for these very same chicken jerky treats.
What a deal - I can see people cutting that one all over the country. Poor dogs.
And because the FDA is so lax, they are still on the shelf with not even warnings.
More dogs will get sick or even die.
It has been years since all this (toxic treats from China) started and I am amazed that not everyone knows by now - Do Not buy any food products from China - for human or animal consumption.
And yet, my friend, a very caring and bright person had been feeding them to Jack for over a year - and wondering about his up and down health.
Save a dog and pass this on to all you know.
