Hard to believe Flirt is 4 today, it may sound like a cliche but it really seems like yesterday when I picked her up at her breeders. As some of you know, it's been a long road. But it doesn't matter because I love my Gordon girl! On a sad note one of her breeders passed away a few weeks ago after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, leaving behind his wife and adult children. She was bred by a couple who have been in the breed forever. Happy Birthday Flirt!!! 2 days old  Second day home  4 years old

Happy Birthday Flirt!!  She has really blossomed into a beautiful young lady. Sorry to hear about her breeder.  A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Tough to watch.

I have a hard time believing she is 4, seems like yesterday that you were waiting her arrival! Happy birthday pretty girl!

WOW or WOW has she developed a coat. Most Gordon's I see don't have that long or wavy hair.

Thanks everyone! Jane, I stopped her formal agility training last year since she'll never be able to handle trial stress. I've been keeping up with her OB at home since it's pretty nice. However, it's doubtful whether I'll ever be able to show her. Her coat is fairly easy to maintain with regular brushing. The hardest thing is keeping up with the feet trimming because they get very shaggy. Val, her coat came in like that recently. Up until 6 months ago she didn't have much coat at all. And it did change after she was spayed last year, became drier and fuzzier as I heard would happen. People used to think she was field-bred because of her lack of coat and some didn't believe me when I told them otherwise. Her coat is starting to look like father's was, although as a female she will never have that much:

See Sandy I have only seen Field Bred Gordon's, lol field people don't want all that hair to deal with.
