I remember reading about this dog being pulled from the ice. Well looks like he was on a show but things went wrong. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/cutline/rescued-dog-bites-nbc-anchor-face-during-feel-141755422.html

This happened on live TV what a mess.

Ironic how the line below the picture reads 'Attorneys are taking calls'... I bet they are.

A good article on this. A situation that did not have to happena nd a dog that tried to tell everyone how stressed he was.

How sad.

How is a woman with a weekly animal segment so incredibly naive with animals?!

It's such a shame that the owner and dog will have to suffer consequences... and that everyone blames the dog... what's up with that?!

I'm not sure which is worse the owner who placed his dog in a stressful situation AFTER it had just been through such a traumatic time or the news reporter.

Sad any way you look at it. frown

It is very sad. Hindsight is wonderful. We can all say it was a big mistake to put the dog in that situation, for the poor reporter not to know how to act around dogs but my take is
1. How could the owner say no? He would appear very ungrateful & inappreciative. I bet few of us would think, given that situation, "No my dog can't handle that right now."
2. How many of us are quick enough to spot a situation going down & interfear before it gets really bad? Even if you are uneasy, you don't want to make your dog seem misadjusted.
3. Yes, people who are going to interact with a strange dog should be coached on how to do it. Lots of things should happen that don't.

So it is very sad all around. I feel bad for everyone involved and the dog.
