Can anyone suggest any videos on teaching a puppy basic heeling? I've watched a few videos but they all seem to be geared towards adult dogs. Also what is realistic to expect from a 14 week old puppy as far as teaching heeling goes? I'm not expecting him to be perfect I just want to make sure I have realistic expectations (He is so smart it makes me feel dumb sometimes, I always know if he isn't picking up on something it's because I'm not doing it right.) Any personal experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a few training sessions from when Pan was a baby, hope it helps! Pan is crazy with ball drive and prey drive in general now but as a baby he worked for food and I had to develop his interest in tugging. These vids show various stuff like basic commands, recalls, making eye contact, perch work, learning rear awareness while heeling.
I know Falon has a lot of videos of what she's been doing with Kastle (now 8 months), hopefully she'll share hers.

Also I focused mainly on eye contact when Pan was a puppy. We did some heeling with a food lure (as you can see) but this was mainly to help Pan gain an awareness of his rear end, not train a formal heel. I never faded the food lures.
When Pan was about 8 months I started working on a "real" heel. Here is his heelwork that was built based on eye contact. http://vimeo.com/29173527

I've been learning loose heeling in class as well, but felt that Amaretto didn't have enough of a foundation for eye contact. These videos hit the spot! Thanks!!!

Here are mine (I have more than any sane person would ever want to watch...). I taught Kastle in much the same way although he was MUCH more ridiculous looking than Pan as a puppy LOL My theory is based on muscle memory. I ask his body to do the same thing over and over and over...and now I am luring with ball under the armpit to support him in his position. HOWEVER, he will also heel in the correct position with ball in left or right hand or out of sight in a pocket. I just prefer to keep reinforcing where he is looking. When the ball is out of sight, he gives me eye contact (which I taught separately from a young age) - which only is reinforcing when I am looking down, which I am not when we are "really" heeling. Therefore, I still support looking in that direction with the ball, and then will slowly fade the ball out. I am also a firm believer in giving them another barrier to help keep their little wobbly rear-ends in line So, we started with between the legs heeling and then moved to left-side heeling. I am posting a selection of videos, there are many more LOL
This is his very first lesson with "heeling":
Another early lesson...
Starting to teach how to pivot and also eye-contact from basic position:
Starting left-side heeling. We didn't do this often at first.
Outside for the first time, working on his left pivot:
Adding distractions:
Needless to say, we practiced a lot and currently, at 8 months, this is what he looks like:
