Holy canoli.
I have been horrible about being on this board the past several months to begin with and it almost seems completely wrong just to come on and give an update and some closure to Oscar's 10-month Monica Segal journey.
Here we are today, March 27th, 2012...and Oscar is proudly weighing in at around 75 pounds. He is healthy looking, feels great to touch, exhibits fantastic energy, has beautiful eyes and coat and his stools have never been better.
As most of you have followed along in our journey, I wanted to say a special "Thank you" for your sincere and kind words along the way. It was not an easy journey, but most things in life that are valuable do not come easy.
Oscar has, no doubt, turned into my heart dog. He amazes me with his ability to persevere over health and behavior challenges and I know he will continue to push me to become a better dog owner, a better companion and a better person.
Without further adieu, here are his before and after photos from our time working with Monica.

BEFORE: Oscar at a measely 57 pounds on May 5th, 2011. All rib bones showing, lower back bones showing, hip bones very prominent. I remember walking down the street with him at this weight thinking to myself how people passing by must have thought I was neglecting him.

AFTER: Oscar at a healthy 75 pounds on March 22nd, 2012. All rib bones, back bones, and hip bones nicely covered. This is the perfect weight for him. Well-covered, but not chubby. Muscular yet trim. A beautiful working weight for a male his size. Now I walk down the side walk with a little skip to my step knowing that he is one hunky looking man!
Thank you, again, to each of you who supported us along the way. Even those of you who may have followed and not commented in the thread. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Monica and to share my story with such thoughtful, caring people.
