Is anyone watching the AKC Eukanuba show on ABC? The GSD was tripping over his own rear feet and the tops of his feet were scuffing the ground.

And when one announcer asked the other why her back end was so low, she said 'it's because they are trotters and they have to keep their heads and tails low for herding.'

I didn't see the herding dog competition - just saw the GSD with the other competing in Best of show.

Missed the whole thing...... like to see the GSD's but some of them sure are low slung sometimes.

I didn't but my mom said they saw it and I asked her about it. She noticed how extreme it was and she is not even a dog person. I figured it must have bee pronounced angulation.

The GSD GCH CH Babheim's Captain Crunch won the herding group! I thought he was a nice-looking dog, not very extreme when he wasn't stacked.

Yeah, that isn't as bad as I expected.

Here's the herding group youtube video. The GSD is first out after the national anthem I think and best of group is sometime after 26:00. The quality is not very good though, so it's difficult to see very well.

Structurally, he doesn't appear to be too extreme. But he looked very loose in movement and, even in the photos where he's standing still, looks a bit unstable in the rear. JMHO.
