I guess we can only hope that the scars that we have, help us to appreciate those who have passed and those we still have.

I have to agree with the quote. If the everyday pain did not lessen we could never go on with our lives after a loss.

But I take issue with those who think it goes away after time - a month, a year, ten. That is just not so.

Echo was a beautiful dog, gone too soon. I hope today the memories can allow you to smile.

Truth is, missing old friends becomes a comforting place to return to mentally, the tender & cherished moments tend to override the less than stellar ones,so the good old days get better with age. My goofball is legendary after waiting at the bridge for a few decades. I can only hope, whenever we do meet again (I can wait!), he'll recognize me!

Echo, what a beautiful boy. To loose your sweet and loving companion so unexpectantly is such a heartbreak. Truly Echo lives on in your heart and always will walk beside you.

What a gorgeous baby he was. Jaxx died in 2008 and if I think about him I will cry. They say we have our memories to rely on, but I can't think of them....I cry. Still awhole lot with Maggie.
