Nice--the FDA has had a warning since November on these.

This is upsetting. Reports since June and FDA warnings since November and it is just a warning? Not a recall or even stopping them?

They are everywhere around here and they look safe - natural ingredients, made in the USA. I am glad I have not fed them, but many I know do.

I posted the link on facebook and withing 10 minutes two people said they keep them in their cupboard and the dogs love them. One is an 11 year old dog - just what he needs, something to harm his aging kidneys.

Makes me wonder if any dogs here in the health section of the board may have mystery illnesses caused be these or other treats. frown

Lots of treats getting thrown out this weekend.

Thanks for posting this!

Bonnie, I was wondering that too. My dogs absolutely love them. I have one picky guy that doesn't really like anything except meat, but he likes those stupid things. So I liked to let him have them occasionally.

Sometimes they sell them at our Sams here & the price is pretty good.

Other than this forum...I've only seen ONE vague report on the news of a dehydrated chicken treat being questionable & they wouldn't say the brand!!!
I certainly hope I didn't do anything to compromise my dogs health by feeding them a treat! frown

I mentioned my friend Holly and her dog Jack as being 'victims' of the tainted chicken jerky treats.

Today Holly and Jack were in Columbus (Ohio) with Senator Sherrod brown. She had an opportunity to speak about Jack's illness. I am hoping this helps get the word to more people in our area.

Every bit helps - keep passing the word.

This all came about from a letter Holly wrote to the Springfield newspaper. This is online now, for tomorrow's paper locally:

http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/s...ts-1331238.html

Raw footage of Senator Brown, Holly and Jack:

http://www2.nbc4i.com/news/2012/feb/19/senator-brown-on-tainted-dog-treats-76352-vi-37992/

Holly is near tears in the video, feeling responsible for Jack's illness. She would have done anything to keep him form getting sick - she just didn't know.

Please help others learn! Talk to your friends about treats from China and reading the label!
