Oh...it wasn't pretty this morning...of course they had to see me cry...lol. I took Ava for the ride to ease Cheyenne's fears. Broke my heart to see her walk down that hall with the tech...head down...so sad. Made me think about how quietly accepting she is...and how she must have looked when her family dumped her.
Ride home was something I hadn't thought of...Ava in depression. She just laid on the back seat with her head down...wouldn't even look up at me.
Can't wait to pack her in the car and go get our girl!!!

As information comes to me...I like to share it here in case it helps anyone else:

My personal vet just called me. He said that hopefully this is the end of bad news for Cheyenne. He confirmed that two distinctly different mammary tumors are very rare (what Cheyenne had)...so a third would even be that much more rare.

Oh man, I completely undertand how you felt when you watched her walk away with the tech. Even for silly things it tears me up, and this is so much more.

I really hope this is the end of the bad news for Chey. You might want to follow up with some IP6?

From what you wrote, may we assume that she came through with flying colors then?

yes...he said she did very well and the surgery went very smoothly. We follow-up in two weeks. I like the IP6 suggestion...I need to get pro-active now.

Well...she's home. Not feeling well...poor thing...lots of wimpering, tail tucked...weakness. I think because it's just so soon after surgery. Was restless...but I finally got her comfy on the couch and she's now out cold smile

groovy glad it went so well and that she is home. I hate it when I pick them up early and they are still in that weird state, but always glad to have them home, and I'm sure they would rather be home than elsewhere!

For whatever reason, she has this tendency towards this type of cancer. You probably don't need much, but something to help her body keep this stuff away.

Chey is one of our miracle dogs, and you have done great with her hugging Happy Day!

Ok...that didn't last long. She is clearly out of sorts..uncomfortable...pacing...whining...tail tucked.........
Is this just normal post-surgical behavior?
