My dogs are 71, 78, and 65 lbs (plus we often have an 88lb-er with us) and all travel in 36" wire crates. For shows I pull my favorite one (below) out of the van. I bought a dolly from Ikea for $2.50 so I use this to pull in my crate, bag, camera, and chair. I do not trust soft-sided crates as a dog on the outside clawed INto mine. I've had both and did not find the soft-sided crate that much more of a pain to carry or setup in fact mine was annoying and pinched my fingers, it was much harder to setup than my 36" wire crate and bigger too. Since indoor crate space is always limited at shows, I like to be able to keep my supplies on top of my crate. For competitions I've always just left my dogs in the van and take them in for their turns, or I bring my 36" inside with the custom-made crate cover. My sister made me a cover that is black on one side and beige on the other (I reverse it depending on sunlight/temp, etc) and has a door flap that rolls up and can be tied in place. I use the Precision Pet Suitcase crate because it opens/collapses into itself, you don't have to fold it out to pop it up.

When Kenya was competing it had the Princess sign on it
