A friend of mine is looking for a GSD pup. Situation is they have an older GSD and a 2 year old son, stay at home mom. Looking for a balanced, calm "pet". Not set any particular lines, but loves the look of W.G show lines. Health is the largest concern as their current GSD has had many health problems (EPI & Pannus). She was looking into a pup at http://www.edgewoodgermanshepherds.com/ out of their male and a female named Mackenzie. Any ideas I can share? Please PM any negative comments

Yes, a balanced, calm "pet" sounds like a good choice for her situation. And, WG showlines are a good choice for this, so it's good she prefers this look. I would suggest they consider adopting an adult through rescue, because then you can see what you'll get for the most part, for health and temperament. The dog can meet their current adult dog and baby, and they can learn ahead of time how the dog does with car rides, other dogs, kids, vet, cats, etc. Everybody wins!

Thanks everyone I am a WL girl, so showlines aren't my thing. I passed on Lee's website to Kristie and let her know that Lee might be able to point her in the right direction. Patti - I really think they are looking to go with a puppy...though personally, I am fresh off of puppyhood with my Vigo and you couldn't give me a puppy for free! I love your idea though.
