Raw fed puppies don't need a glucosomine supplement, IMO. The cartilege and bone they eat are providing that naturally. I would give vitamin C of course(natural w/ Rosehips or citrus bioflavanoids) but not EsterC for a growing pup. EsterC has added calcium~55mg.

That makes a lot of sense Jane. Not being a raw feeder, forgot about that part of it.

I know that Belfield was big on sodium ascorbate, of course that's higher in sodium, and not a full spectrum vitamin C. Bioflavanoids sound like a great option too.

I will look for info on natural forms of Vit C too, never thought about rose-hips.

Indy used to love rose hips, she would pick them off the bushes. My roses are terrible looking, but I left them in for her!
