Excellent resource thanks for posting that.
We just recently took out an umbrella policy as we were under insured, dogs or not. We have USAA and they would not issue an umbrella policy to our homeowners insurance. They said they did not underwrite umbrella policies for dog owners but referred us to a partner company that did, The breed was not the issue. (so they said.)
A co-worker recently re-located to McAlester from Korea. She is buying a house and has an 8 year old Doberman. She wanted to use USAA for her homeowners insurance and they turned her down due to the dog breed. This is the first I have heard of USAA doing this. They know we have GSD's but it has never been a problem and we have never been asked to have extra liability for them nor has it affected our premium. So it might be interesting when we move and re-imsure another home. Maybe we are grandfathered? I do know that if USAA is now excluding certain breeds I will be pissed. It is one of the companies that has never had a problem with dogs of any breed.

Allstate has never been the least bit concerned that I have (and have had in the past) German Shepherds.
