I do not get the ashes of the pets we cremate as we move a lot and cannot take them overseas. SO I did not ask for Max's ashes. All day yesterday I was thinking I wanted them and thought about calling but then thought if he was already cremated I would be upset again . The vet's office just called. The crematorium called them to tell them I could come and pick up his ashes. Natalie, the vet tech that assisted went and got them for me. I think she must have remembered a conversation we had about 6 months ago about this subject.

So I will have Max's ashes after all. I am happy about this. Today I ordered material to make him a memorial quilt.

I am glad this worked out for you. When I lost my first dog we requested to have her ashes returned and someone dropped the ball. I have the rest of the Paq's but have yet to get them each proper urns. Some decisions are hard for me to make.
