I don't think so Lisa...it's more like an ulcer..that'a bleeding. I am praying...maybe it's just irretated from rubbing or something. Her skin is soooo thin and it does hit the ground sometimes when she squats, etc.

I have an appt. with the vet tomorrow to see what he can do...and then I will tell him I want to see a specialist asap.

How do I do a green tea compress?

I want to think that this is her body's way of fighting and that this is a good thing, but I'm probably wrong. I am still going to think those positive thoughts until it's for sure not true!

The compress, I just make some really strong tea, and while the tea is still warm, sop a rag with the tea and gently hold it on the ulcer. Of course, if the ulcer is a sore where this would be irritating, that won't work. I know folks that have used this for mast cell tumors with good success.

I am so sorry to read all this. Whatever the outcome, Cheyenne has had such a great live with your family. Does she know she is world famous?

Hugs to you and you kids and all my hopes that Cheyenne does well tomorrow at the vet.

You know, I have been afraid to look here because I share your squeamishness (never touched Kyah's stump, etc) and was afraid you had posted pics.

I think seeing the vet tomorrow (did you know they have sold enough Snuggies for 1 in 12 Americans to have one - just think cozy) and asking for a quick referral is a good plan. And if they say what will it accomplish, sometimes just doing it is enough.

I knew it Jean...I'll email you pictures when you least suspect it. Gotta take some new ones...now that it's all huge and lumpy and ulcerated.

Some snazzy prints out now Jean..but maybe not appropriate..what do ya think...a subdued but chic look?

Wanted to have my husband double check it for me to make sure I was correct in my assessment...and he WOULDN'T either. Sheesh...so I had to go in for a 2nd assessment. ugh. It's about the size of a dime. It's on the bottom of her tumor...that lies on the floor...I'm wondering if it's from pressure...kinda like a bed sore? I pray that it's something like that...because of course I had to google..and saw something about ulcerating mammary tumors having bad prognosis.....

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase don't. grin Can you believe all my relatives (and many friends) are nurses? sick

It could be a pressure sore. It would be interesting if there was a way to sling it without making it so that it's not getting air.

See, I can't even talk about it without getting a little freaked, so I give you much credit for all you are doing.
